I’ve entered in to the world of thrift shopping. I think I’m even becoming obsessed. I’ve had several good trips lately and thought this would be a great time to share some tips and tricks! When someone asks “Where did you get that from?” and I say “The thrift store” people tend do be amazed. I am all for shopping within my little budget. Sometimes that seems difficult. I guess I have such good luck at the thrift store because my style has turned completely outside of my usual comfort zone. That’s probably my favorite thing about thrift shopping. You don’t have to worry about “Will I actually wear this?” When you’re only spending $2. It’s a lot easier and more comfortable to try things outside of the box when you’re not spending $30 and $50 dollars on just one thing!
For me, I head straight to the men’s section. I love oversized shirts, pullovers, sweaters, etc. My thing lately has been short sleeve button ups. I grab anything with stripes! I love the vintage look and I tend to have the most luck there!
My second favorite spot is the women’s pants and bottoms section. I love finding baggy pants! One day I even lucked up on a pair of Levi’s shorts! Score right!
Use what you have at your finger tips. If you’ve always wanted to change it up, but don’t want to spend a lot of money utilize your local thrift store. Also know there is nothing wrong with shopping at the thrift store! You can find the coolest things and the best deals!
In this outfit I bought these cropped pants for $1.99!
I purchased these checkered bottoms for $3.99.
This button up was only $2.99. These shorts were $3.99. A pair of Toms, yes Toms that are normally $50 dollars, for $1.99! The bag featured was $1.99. I’ve seen a huge trend going around of straw/wicker purses so when I saw this one and it was like I hit the jackpot!
