“I had a dream that I can’t get out of my mind. I can’t sleep until I know what it means.”
In Daniel 2 King Nebuchadnezzar says something that completely hits home in my spirit. As soon as I read that, within seconds of opening up the word, Holy Spirit opened my eyes. That is the kind of hunger and thirst God wants from us, from his children. A hunger that says I’ll see it through to the end. A hunger that when we read scripture and maybe it isn’t making sense or clicking, that we say “God I’ll read this hundred times. I’ll read a hundred different translations if that’s what it takes. Because I am that dedicated to knowing your word.” A thirst that when we hear the voice of God or see visions from Holy Spirit we don’t stay silent in fear of if we’ll stutter, sound silly, or get it wrong. We won’t listen to the fear of “What if this isn’t God.” He wants us to sacrifice our flesh and be bold. Say what we hear. Say what we feel. Don’t second guess yourself or God. You know when you know when you know that you’ve heard God. That you’ve heard his instructions. When you invest in the Father he invests in you more and more. The word begins to bring new meaning like never before. His voice becomes clearer. A God who makes the blind see must want us to read. A God who makes the mute speak wants us to use our voice. All in all, have the desire and dedication for God in the exact same way these two sentences say. Don’t give up on a dream- see it through.
