Ghost Story

I’ve been seeing “Ghost Stories” going around everywhere. I love them! I love them so much I thought I would share my own story. My First Holy Ghost Experience. So grab some hot chocolate and snuggle up it is officially story time… My first time I experienced Holy Spirit I was visiting a church to hear a preacher and my soon to be youth minister speak. I can’t remember exactly how old I was, but I’m positive it’s written down in my baby book. I believe I was around the age of ten! At the end of the service the person ministering had several different adults— preachers, youth pastors, and other leaders walk up to the altar and stand. They were from all around and from different churches. There was a person that every kid could connect with. The minister told us to run to them. Run to the altar. You know that feeling of having your insides be on fire and your heart start racing… and you know you’re suppose to go. Well this was the first time I let Holy Spirit take over in me. I ran to the altar to one of my youth leaders. They laid hands on me and prayed. I’ve grown up pentecostal so you can imagine what I mean when I say they laid hands on me haha. I remember when Holy Spirit swooped in. At this point I was on the ground, no surprise! (Again full on pentecostal) I felt such a peace. Cried like a baby, in a good way. It was the first time that I spoke in tongues. It was harder for me to make myself let go and let God, but it was so worth it. I was so excited afterwards you couldn’t get the smile off my face. That is my Holy Ghost Story. Everyone’s is different because Holy Spirit moves in so many different ways. This was also my first true encounter with Holy Spirit and something that I will never forget!
