Someone Needs To See God Through You

“He puts a little of heaven in our hearts so that we’ll never settle for less.” 2 Corinthians 5:1-5

We are at the peak of his glory. God is giving us glimpses of Heaven on Earth so that we will be hungry for more. Once God changes a situation or even changes us from the inside out, we always want that feeling again. We don’t want to settle for being sick, being unhappy, being unstable. We want that feeling that God gave us before when he literally rocked our world. I love this verse it depicts what God is doing in this time in my life and what he wants from me.

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.” Philippians 2:3

“Someone needs to see God through me.” I take this scripture to mean— Put others first. We have to be humble enough to set ourselves aside. We can’t always worry and battle about our lives. We have to know and be confident where our heart is so that we can help others, our friends. We don’t know their relationship with the Father or if they have one. So we have to be on alert and willing to help them. We have to walk as the body of Christ and have compassion. It’s not about putting on a show or trying to portray the part. It’s about having an actual change of heart where people can see that and we don’t even have to say a word. People can see just as much in our actions.

Lyrics that have stood out to me and I tried to jot down quickly lol:

  • You made a way where there was no way and I believe you’re gonna do it again
  • I’m just unfinished
  • Keep fighting the food fight keep letting the light shine
