“How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog – it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.” James 4:14
“Carpe Diem”– make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future.
We’ve heard it a million times, “We aren’t promised tomorrow.” Maybe so much so that we actually forget how true that statement is. We know our past is our past, yesterday has come and gone. It’s done for good and sealed away, but we put so much emphasis on the future. “I’ll do this next week.” “I’ll get married by this age.” “I’ll have kids then.” “I’ll be financially stable here.” That sounds great now, to plan ahead, but in all actuality we have no idea what our future holds. We have no clue what future we’re promised or how long of one. All we know is that we have now. We have this time to make the most of it. To love and be the happiest ever. To not put off things and to do our absolute best in all aspects 24/7. Whether we think into the future or not, God has the final say. Any planning on our point won’t overthrow his. So “Carpe Diem” and cherish this moment, today, and make it your best yet. It’s all up to you!
